Intro to DHMN
- DHMN (Distributed Hacker/Maker Network) is is a community group based in the Fox Valley area of northeast Wisconsin, centered in Appleton. Our mission is to make, share, and learn.
- DHMN supports a cooperative community for members who want to 'make' cool, interesting and creative things. A plan is being developed to find and secure funding, if needed, for a facility or space with 24/7 access where work can be done and equipment, tools and supplies stored. See the DHMN Facility 02 project page if interested in helping with an Appleton makerspace. What's a "hackerspace or a "makerspace"?
- Until a DHMN facility/space is secured, periodic DHMN work sessions are held at DHMN members' homes or other appropriate work spaces. Monthly DHMN meetings (discussion sessions) are held mid-day on a weekday at various locations in the Fox Valley. DHMN members also participate in NEW NET and other northeast Wisconsin community group meetings (see Northeast Wisconsin Community Groups of Interest to DHMN Members).
